Japanese carmaker Toyota has unveiled its new model named 2011 Toyota Highlander, is the best midsize SUV. It has revised styling and expanded standard equipment. The arrival of new Highlander marks a new phase in the series and the manufacturers have done their best to introduce refreshing styling changes to suit the needs and tastes of modern drivers.

New Toyota Highlander will be available with a choice between two engines. The more powerful model, will have a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine with an output of 273 hp at 6,200 rpm and 337 Nm torque at 4,700 rpm. With this engine, the top speed of the Highlander is rated at 180 km/h and the company says it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds. The entry level 2011 Toyota Highlander will be powered by a 2.7-liter 4-cylinder engine 187 hp.
The interior of the Highlander is designed to seat up to seven passengers, but the third row seating is very small and designed for children primarily. The Base, Sport and Limited models will be expected to make their debut and reprise the comfortable interiors that have been seen on the Highlander since its inception.
The basic interior of the Highlander includes a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a CD stereo system, full power accessories and air-conditioning. The limited offers an auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a wood-grain interior trim, and a power passenger and driver seats.
