Kidnapped infant found abandoned

Was discovered by a sweeper inside a restroom near Chandni Chowk

Samiksha is back with her family. And she has had quite an adventure. At 2 pm on Monday, the same day she was kidnapped, the 9-month-old was discovered by a sweeper inside a washroom at Bhagirath Place, near Chandni Chowk in old Delhi.
The sweeper took the infant to the police station and the cops sent her to a child welfare organization in Connaught Place. The organisation flashed a message across to all police stations in the Capital on Tuesday night. Finally, Samiksha was identified and accepted by her family on Wednesday evening and her 48-hour-long ordeal came to an end.

"It's like a rebirth for me, I thank god for giving me my child back. But I will never forgive the culprits. They have to pay for what they did," said Bhawana, the infant's mother.

Police suspect Samiksha's father, who divorced Bhawana some time ago, is behind the incident. The accused and his family are absconding. The cops raided their house again on Wednesday without luck.
